The Salazar-Chu household has not been a healthy one lately. After Alex had a mumps scare, and Isabella had a mystery fever, this weekend all three of us had colds and fevers. Today we managed to go to church and tried to soak up some of the beautiful weather outside.

First Word - Kind of
Isabella has been using da-da and ma-ma somewhat indiscriminately and she says nai-nai (Mandarin for milk) when she's hungry. And sometimes she says go-go (Mandarin for dog) when she sees Snoopy in her room. Over the weekend, though, she repeated a word that we used for the first time!
We were practicing walking back and forth, with her taking steps between Mommy and Daddy. Each time she came to one of us, we would clap and say BRAVO! After a few times of this, she decided to congratulate herself. She came over, clapped and said "BAVO!" Of course, this merited a gigantic family hug and some serious parental pride.
